The International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) (together the “World Bank” or “Bank”, “we” or “us”) respect your concerns about privacy. This Privacy Notice applies to the personal data we collect and handle for the purposes of logging into our application. For the purposes of this Privacy Notice, “personal data” means any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Contact Data
We collect the contact data you provide to us in the sections “Request Demo”, “Contact us” and “Make your own Country Card”. The objective of this data collection is to solve any questions you may have.
Information We Collect by Automated Means
We obtain certain information by automated means when you visit this site, such as the geographic location of the device you use, the browser type, the pages you access, the date, time and duration of your request. We collect this information through various means, including “cookies”.
Cookies
Like many websites, this website use “cookies”. Cookies are bits of text that are placed on your computer’s hard drive when you visit certain websites. Through these automated collection methods, we obtain “clickstream data,” which is a log of content on which a visitor clicks while browsing a website. As the visitor clicks through the website, a record of the action may be collected and stored. This information is used to measure activity on this site, determine which areas and features of this website are the most popular and help us provide better service. We do not sell or otherwise disclose personal data collected as set out above, except as described in this Privacy Notice. The information may also be shared with third-party service providers who perform services for the Bank. These service providers are not authorized by the Bank to use or disclose the personal data, except as necessary to perform services for the Bank. The Bank requires its service providers to appropriately safeguard the privacy and security of personal data they process on its behalf.
The World Bank Group also may disclose personal data about you (i) if obliged to do so under international law or by requirements of applicable Bank policies and procedures law or legal process, (ii) for the purposes of, or in connection with, any legal proceedings, or otherwise for the purposes of establishing, exercising or defending any legal rights; or (iii) when the World Bank Group believes disclosure is necessary or appropriate to prevent physical harm or financial loss or in connection with an investigation of suspected or actual illegal activity.
SPECIFIC PURPOSES OF PROCESSING
We store your personal data solely with the purpose of contacting you to solve any questions or requests you might have addressed to us.
TYPES OF PROCESSING
Your data is stored on a secure database and no further processing occurs.
HOW WE PROTECT THE INFORMATION
The Bank maintains appropriate technical and organizational safeguards against unauthorized processing of personal data and against accidental loss, destruction or damage.
HOW LONG WE KEEP THE INFORMATION
Your personal data will be kept only as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this Notice and in accordance with applicable records retention and disposition schedules.
REQUEST AND REVIEW
In accordance with the World Bank Group Policy Personal Data Privacy and pursuant to Personal Data Privacy Request and Review Mechanisms, you may request information regarding the processing of your personal data, subject to reasonable limitations and conditions. Subject to such limitations and conditions, you may also seek review pursuant to Bank Directive Personal Data Privacy Request and Review Mechanisms if you reasonably believe that your personal data has been processed in violation of the World Bank Group Policy Personal Data Privacy.
